About This Course
Machine design mainly focuses on basic principles of mechanical behavior like types of loads, stresses, strength of materials, factor of safety, fatigue. Various machine components like gears, bearings, fasteners etc. are taken into consideration while designing a machine.
In this course you will learn about machine design considerations, stress concentration, types of loads, joints. You will also study about design of keys, couplings, springs, belts & design of belt drives, design of chain drives, terms used in chain drives, relation between pitch and pitch circle diameter and selection of anti-friction bearings.
